The following are essential for submitting an eAttest:
Informed consent from the patient
Therapeutic relationship with the patient
Approved eAgreement
Today's treatment
Once the above requirements have been met, you will be able to submit an eAttest after the treatment and receipt of payment.
To do this, open the treatment's financial panel after the treatment. You can find it by clicking the
[β¬] at the end of the relevant treatment in the EKD.
This opens the financial panel, where I can see an overview of the treatment, the code, and the finances.
As you can see, the third-party payer scheme is unchecked under the
[Payment] tab. This should only be checked when you want to use eFact. You can find more information about that here.
Before you can send an eAttest, you are legally required to have received the payment. Here you therefore register your payment, and you can see the tab on the right [Submit eAttest] .
If necessary, you can still adjust the invoice number here. As with a certificate, this always follows chronologically after the previous treatment for which an eAttest was issued. You can find out how to configure this here.
After you click [Submit eAttest], the eAttest will be sent immediately, after which you will receive a notification within a few seconds indicating whether it was approved.
If you still want to switch back to a traditional certificate, select [Switch to certificate] at the top right, next to the eAttest title.
By law, you are required to provide your patient with proof of this.
Here, you can send this to the patient's eBox or, if you prefer, print it out.
To do so, select [Proof] at the bottom of the approved eAttest.
A pop-up window will then open, giving you the option to send the proof or print it directly.
Here, at the bottom, you have the option to automatically send the proof to your patient for an approved eAttest.
At the bottom, in red, you'll see
[Cancel eAttest].
If you choose this, a pop-up window will appear asking you to provide the reason for cancellation.
Once you've found the appropriate reason, simply click the red 'Cancel eAttest' button.
After cancelling the eAttest, and before you can adjust the treatment or code, it's important to delete the eAttest as well. Use the same icon as above.
eAttest removed? You can now correct the incorrect details and send the correct eAttest again.
Of course, itβs important to do this on the same day, because the resubmission of the canceled eAttest can only be done on the day of the relevant treatment.
