# Request and upload an eHealth certificate in Crossuite

The eHealth integration is available for all specialties with a valid RIZIV number.

The eHealth integration is available for all specializations with a valid RIZIV number. Change your specialization via My Account -> Users if necessary. ## Create and activate an eHealth certificate via the eHealth application

An eHealth certificate is requested and installed via an eHealth application. Download this application from the eHealth platform website or by pasting the following link into your browser's address bar:

On Apple computers, this file may be considered unsafe and blocked. In this case, use Finder to go to the Downloads folder. Right-click the file and select 'Open With > Java Launcher'. Indicate here that the file may be opened. Open System Settings and go to Privacy & Security. Click 'Open Anyway' next to the file to allow it.

You can download Java via this link if it is not already installed:  
[www.java.com/nl/download/](https://www.java.com/nl/download/)To install your eHealth certificate, you need a card reader, your identity card, and the associated PIN for your identity card.  
Open the application. Once it has loaded, click **\[Next\]**.

Click **\[Request a new certificate\].**

Click **\[Next\].**

Connect your card reader, insert your identity card and enter your PIN code.  
Select your domicile and click **\[Next\]**.

Select who the certificate is intended for.

Enter your email address and phone number.

Choose a password.

You will now see an overview of the information entered. Click **\[Next\]**.

Click **\[Click here to send the certificate request\].**

Enter your identity card PIN code again.

**This step is important for correctly requesting the certificate. Without this step, the certificate will have a validity period of one year and will not work!**  
Click on  
\[Complete the application for the eHealth certificate and ETK\].

Click on  
\[Select keystore\].

Select the relevant certificate and click on  
\[Open\].

Enter the password you just chose.

Click on  
\[Install your certificate and start creating your eHealth ETK\].

Your eHealth certificate has now been created and is ready to be uploaded to Crossuite.

## Upload an eHealth certificate in Crossuite

Click the profile picture in the bottom left and go to **My account** > **Integrations**. Under eHealth integrations, click **\[**⚙ **Set up\]**.

Enter your INSZ number and RIZIV number here. Upload the eHealth certificate and click 'Create' at the bottom. Do you get the error message ‘Data can't be unsealed’ when opening a patient record? Then the eHealth certificate linked to Crossuite has expired or has not yet been updated. Renew the eHealth certificate and upload it to Crossuite again. To do this, follow the guide ‘Uploading an eHealth certificate’.
